I’m using this blog as a means to organize and store various recipes I’ve collected over the years, scattered across random bits of paper and various cookbooks. This way, when I’m at the supermarket and see a key ingredient on sale, I can look up the entire recipe and purchase everything I need in one go!
Some of these recipes are heirloom recipes from family members in South Africa. They are not tested, have non-standard measurements and sometimes mention an ingredient in the list, but don’t explain how to use it.
I cook a diverse array of foods, from South Africa and Britain, reflecting my background and heritage; California, where I was raised and Spain, where I was fortunate to live for 2 months back in 2001.
I don’t expect many people to actually read these recipes, but if you have question or comment, go ahead and add it!
